Mobile Dollar started in 2019 just before Covid. I, Ryan, started Mobile Dollar in college once I realized I was partying too much. I was a kid that surrounded himself with people that had less ambition than myself, because it made me feel good about myself, since I had more ambition than they did.
I realized I wanted to do more with my life. I realized though if I kept hanging with the same crowd to make myself feel better about myself, I won't get what I want. So I sought a skill that I could work on while outside of my college classes. From what started as a hobby helping people with a business idea grow an Instagram page, has turned into an opportunity for hard working local business owners. My name is Ryan, with my skill of marketing and storytelling gained through my freelance experience beginning just before Covid.
First, I started working with some of the largest motivational and entrepreneurial businesses
on social media; some you most likely follow. Through those partnerships I was able to get
exposure with online coaches, and 9-5 workers who wanted to turn their skills into a social
media business.
While doing that I was helping my uncle, with Reny's Lawn Care as he didn't have many
employees. I was happy to do it considering my recent success. Through that experience
helping my uncle, I grew an intense urge to help hard working local businesses in my
community make their digital pivot.
Why hard working businesses? They have a lot more untapped potential and the
success-effect once rolling can be hard for those business owners to fathom, which
puts a massive smile on my face. Since having that intense urge I am more than happy
to see where I have come from.
